Been So Long

Been So Long --- Anita Baker (Rapture, 1986)

What can I say? Songs always pop in my head. Its hardly a curse but sometimes inconvenient. Thanks for enjoying this sultry clip although nothing beyond its title is at all relevant....

I haven't posted here in a hundred years (more or less). I have a lot to show you!

Ballet Cashmere (Pattern: Cherry Tree Hill; Fiber: Koigu KPPPM)
This has been finished for over a month. When I got it back from the finisher's I wasn't satisfied with the length so oI added additional garter stitch at bottom. Now its absolutely fabulous and I LOVE it. It looks beautiful all on its own but when I put that fabulous cherry pin that I bought myself for my bday, its even better:

Chevron Tocques
I took a slip-stitch color knitting class recently and the demo project were these adorable hats. I've made two and plan to make piles more. This particular one is for adorable niece Mary this weekend even though I want to keep it for myself:

I don't think I ever posted pictures of the truly beautiful cloches I knitted for the girls and Pilar last winter then again for baby Cara this year. I'll have to do that. They were amazing.

Debbie Bliss "Lara" (Fiber: Debbie Bliss Alpaca Silk)
This is to replace the one that I sent home with Mary last winter, I've made some small adjustments to the size and I'm sure I'll be in heaven with it. There are plenty of discussions on how wierd this pattern is so I won't write my own thoughts here. Basically its knit from the left cuff up the body, across the back then the right front is begun on seperate needles and joined to the back before completing the right sleeve such that finishing involves seaming the sides and under-sleeves. Presto. Sweater. Its heaven to touch. I'm now starting the right front; estimate I'm about 2/3 done with sweater, about another two weeks of work:
